When highway reconfiguration threatened a historic barn and farmhouse in Hamilton County, Indiana Landmarks partnered with the Indiana Department of Transportation to find a solution.

In the last year, the Sacred Places Indiana program awarded over $3 million in planning and capital grants to 30 congregations statewide.

To preserve them, Indiana Landmarks sold properties in Attica, Beverly Shores, Wabash, Carmel, and Bedford.

Program honors Eli Lilly chemist and preservationist Stan Cox.
